MARIETTA, Ga. - Leila Goodwin McLellan, of Marietta, died January 2, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Augusta, she was a graduate of Richmond Academy and attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She was an active member of the Peachtree Presbyterian Church and the Seeker Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Magnolia Garden Club. She was employed as a Sales Associate for John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods and was a "Boutique Lady" at Stein Mart. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James Noble McLellan, Sr.; a sons, James Noble McLellan, Jr., his wife, Kelley Clydesdale McLellan; and a sister, Mrs. Edward F. (Martha) Moody, Jr. of Augusta. A graveside service for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 5, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Rd. NW, Sandy Springs, Ga., with Dr. Harold Brooks and Rev. Vicki Harrington Franch officiating. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 3434 Roswell Rd. NW, Atlanta, with Dr. Victor Pentz, Dr. Harold Brooks and Rev. Vicki Harrington Franch officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting gifts be given in memory of Leila to the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 3434 Roswell Rd. NW, Atlanta GA 30305; or Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10021. Arrangements by H.M.
