BAMBERG, S.C. - Lois Burnett Turner, age 73, of Charleston- Augusta Rd., widow of the late Jack E. Turner, Sr., entered into rest January 2, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta. Mrs. Turner was born February 4, 1932, in Langley, S.C., to the late Daniel Herbert Burnett and the late Clyde Fairey Lamb Burnett. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Branchville, S.C. and enjoyed church work, fishing and working in the yard. She loved her grandchildren and Clemson football. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2006, in Zion United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Chris King and Rev. Kathy Griffin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include two son, Jack E. "Bud" Turner, Jr. of Bamberg, S.C. and Mark A. and Dottie Turner of North Augusta; one daughter, Fairey Nancy Turner Mock and husband, Frank, of Chapin, S.C.; one sister, Mary Ella Burnett Holly and husband, C.L., of Bamberg, S.C.; three grandsons, Matthew, Daniel Turner and Michael Mock; one granddaughter, Kelsey Turner. Visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at Cooner Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 5939 Farrells Rd., Branchville, SC.
