GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Wade Noah Dupuis, 83, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 31, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Dupuis was a native of Lake Charles, La., but had lived in the Augusta area a number of years. Mr. Dupuis served his country as a United States Marine in WWII. He was commissioned in the United States Army in 1951 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1970 after having served in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Dupuis was a former Grand Master of the Knights of Columbus for District II in the state of Louisiana. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, the Cardinal Cooke 8495, Council of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Patrick Walsh Assembly 174. Mr. Dupuis is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Natalie Dupuis; son, Van Dupuis; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gene Frazier; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Denise and Kevin Bailey, Ashlee and Chad Medlin, Courtney and Ben Payne; Rhianna andTom Watson; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Eric and Michelle Dupuis; great-grandchildren, Brittany Kraus, Tristan Kraus, Justin Bailey, Chris Bailey, Trevor Payne, Madyson Payne, T.J. Watson and Katrina Watson. He was a shining example of what a father should be and a hero to his family. He always made a "celebration" out of every occasion. He loved his church, his family and his country. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at 2 p.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
