AIKEN, S.C. - Sylvester Eric Cullum, age 55, of 1120 Cooks Bridge Rd., died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Aiken, with Rev. Phinizy Young, Pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Jamaica Queens, N.Y., he has lived in Aiken County for the past six years. He was a former airplane Mechanic with the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He devoted 20 years of service to the U.S. Postal Service in N.Y. He was a owner, operator and professional truck driver. He was the son of the late Eddie Cullum and Roxie Steadman Cullum. Two brother, Latavish Cullum and Henry Cullum, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Tanesah Cullum and Nickie Cullum, Queens, N.Y.; one brother, Darryl Cullum, Aiken; one grandson; two aunts, Almeta McClean, Jamaica, N.Y. and Evetta (Pete) Wade, Aiken; loving sisters-in-law, Carol Cullum and Helena; lifetime partner, Rita Fortune, Flushing, N.Y.; nephews, Nakami, Michael and TJ; nieces, Hellania, Aaliyah and Monique; a devoted cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Mildred Flowers of Aiken; and a host of other cousins.
