AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Carrie Bell Gibbons, of Sumac Drive, entered into rest Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 18, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., at the Hardenman Springfield Baptist Church, Louisville, Ga., with Rev. E.C. Climes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Gibbons was a native of Jefferson Co., Ga. She was a member of the Hardenman Springfield Baptist Church, Louisville, Ga., Missionary and Deaconess Board and a member of the Morning Star Society. She was employed at the Morgan Cleaners for 25 years. Survivors are four sons, George (J.R.) Gibbons, Roy (Jessie) Gibbons, Tommy Gibbons, Augusta, Benjamin (Petriece) Gibbons, Jacksonville, N.C.; four daughters, Joanne (Bernard) Raines, Bobbie Jean (Oliver) Moss, Rebie Gibbons, Shirley (Greg McCrae) Gibbons, Augusta; one brother, Frank (Nell) Gibbons, Augusta; one sister, Anna Gibbons, Greenwich, Conn.; one aunt, Mollie Robinson, Louisville, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Luvenia (Willie) Burton, Chicago, Ill. and Julia Gibbons, Augusta; one brother-in-law, Willie Walker, Detroit, Mich.; three devoted grandchildren, Sheila (Dyese) Golphin, Cardale Gibbons and Takisha Silas; 20 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren, devoted goddaughter, Debra Silas; devoted cousin, Ruby Gant, Augusta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
