AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, November 25, 2005 at University Hospital, Mrs. Emily Johnson, 83, of Essie McIntyre Boulevard. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 3, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., from Palmer Grove Baptist Church, Old Waynesboro Road, with Reverend J.J. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Johnson a born in Hephzibah and had retired from University Hospital. She was a member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are one son, Sidney J. Johnson of Augusta; two daughters, Betty Johnson-Pollard (Willie) of Minneapolis and Rae-Evon Johnson-Brooks (Levorn) of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Janie S. Pollard Westbrook (Jeffrey) of Minneapolis, Willette A. Pollard of Seattle, William J. Pollard (Kristin) of Hockinson, Del., Earl T. Pollard of Phoenix, Quentin Brooks (Terry), Vondria Brooks, Rashawn Brooks, all of Jacksonville, Fla. and Candice Pittman of Augusta; five great-grandchildren,Jarret Westbrook and J'Nae Westbrook of Minneapolis, William J. Pollard, Jr. of Scottsdale, Ariz., Akinyi Oyugi and Zenna Oyugi of Seattle; one uncle, Henry Samuel of Augusta; two aunts, Carrie L. Rosier and Rosie B. Williams; a host of godchildren, Rev. Clarence Grier (Sarah), Freddie Green (Janelle), Oscar Brown, George Hatcher, George Cooper, Clarence Gardenhire, Martin Gardenhire, Jerry Gardenhire, Artis Outler (Barbara), Hank Harris and Melvin Emory, all of Augusta; cousins and friends.
