BALLET AT THE BELL

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The Aiken Community Band will perform at 8 p.m. at the Etherredge Center Concert Hall, University of South Carolina Aiken, 471 University Parkway. CHRISTMAS IN THE QUAD

The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame's Botanical Gardens, 1 11th St. Food, hot chocolate and carolers will be among the attractions. The event costs $6 for adults and $5 for seniors, military personnel and students. Admission is free for children 3 and younger or with a donation of a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. 'MIKADO' AUDITIONS

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of South Carolina Aiken will hold auditions for The Mikado at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday on the main stage at the University of South Carolina Aiken Etherredge Center, 471 University Parkway. Five males and four females and a chorus, ages 17-60, are needed. Those auditioning should prepare a ballad from a musical or English art song and be prepared to do a cold reading from a script. QUILT EXHIBIT

The 10th annual Quilt Exhibition wraps up today at the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History, 1116 Phillips St. The exhibit features prints and patterns from private collections. The museum's hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission costs $1 for schoolchildren and college students with a valid ID and $3 for adults.
