FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Jonathan Modica had 22 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, and six rebounds to lead Arkansas to a 75-55 victory over Radford on Saturday.
The Razorbacks (3-2) shot 14-for-30 from the field in the first half for 46.7 percent compared to the Highlanders' 17.9 percent. Shooting improved slightly for Radford (3-2) in the second period, boosting to 29.7 percent from the floor.
Arkansas had two other players in the double digits, with Ronnie Brewer scoring 16 points and Charles Thomas with 12.
Bethune-Cookman 81, Savannah State 58
In Daytona Beach, Fla., Michael Williams scored 28 points to carry Bethune-Cookman to past Savannah State.
Williams connected on 12 of 19 close-range shots and also claimed a game-high 10 rebounds as the host Wildcats (2-3) stopped a two-game losing streak.
FURMAN 91, JOHNS HOPKINS 55
In Greenville, S.C., freshman center Stanley Jones scored 17 points as Furman beat Division III Johns Hopkins. Alex Opacic added 11 points for the Paladins (2-2).
