AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lois Keel Derminio, 86, widow of the late Raymond Derminio, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at University Hospital. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2005, at Platt's Crawford Ave. Chapel with Rev. Larry Harmon and Benjamin Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Derminio was a native Augustan and had retired from the Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of West Acres Baptist Church and was a former Secretary of The Southern Bell Pioneers of America. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother and recently became a Great Great grandmother. Mrs. Derminio was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, the late Woodrow W. Keel Sr. She is survived by two sons, Woody Keel and David C. Keel Sr., both of Augusta; three daughters, Jean Keel Brown of Martinez, and Janice Keel Helton of Augusta, and Julie Keel Thigpen of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Mary Louise Spivey of Augusta; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Active pallbearers will be her Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Southern Bell Telephone Pioneers.
