SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest on the morning of November 21, 2005, Dorothy Donnell Duke Hopkins, widow of John L. Duke, residence, Summerville, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, Friday, November 25, 2005 at 12 noon. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Hopkins was born January 12, 1923 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of William John Donnell and Angie McLemore Donnell. She retired as a bookkeeper with Belk's Department Store in South Windermere. She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by one daughter, Terri Lee and her husband, Jack of Summerville, SC; one son, James Duke, Sr. and his wife, Sandy of Charleston, SC; one brother, George Donnell and his wife, Harriet of Charleston, SC; one daughter-in-law, Mary S. Duke of Easley, SC; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son William Duke, Sr. and one brother Cornelius Donnell.
