GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Ann Cross age 74, entered into rest at her residence on Sunday November 20, 2005. Survivors include mother, Nell M. Hancock of Midville, Ga.; two daughters, Barbara Bowles of Grovetown, Martha Tanner of Flowery Branch, Ga.; one sister, Miriam H. Drew of Jackson, S.C.; one step son, Mike Cross of Lexsy, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Kay Oglesby of Herndon, Ga.; six grandchildren, Charles R. Marchman, of Germany, Christopher I. West of Valdosta, Stephanie B. Loyal of Grovetown, Jason Tanner of Winder, Ga. Woody Bowles of Grovetown, Jonathan Tanner of Flowery Branch, Ga. and seven great grandchildren, and four step grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2005 in the Belair Rd. Chapel of Platt's Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Brunner officiating. Interment will be Wednesday November 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Midville City Cemetery with Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Mrs. Cross had retired from Kuppenheimer clothing store as a tailor. She was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church in Midville, Ga. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5 until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, at 2623 Washington Rd.
