AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on November 6, 2005 at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, Col. Dick Zufelt, 84, husband of Mrs. Sally Zufelt. Col. Zufelt was a native of Moab, Utah. He retired as a LTC of the US Army and served in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was a substitute teacher for the Westside, Glenn Hills, Davidson and Academy of Richmond County High School's in Richmond County. He was known as "Mr. Z" to the students. Col. Zufelt was married for 45 years and the family said "he was everything a woman could want in a husband". Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907. (706) 364-8484.
