AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Peter D. Fransham, age 79, entered into rest at his residence Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Born in Montreal, Canada, he served as a Flying Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He attended college in North Wales, Britain, subsequently serving as Communications and Radar Officer on British Cargo Passenger Ships. He immigrated to the United States in 1950. He was employed at Fort Gordon Signal School from 1951 to 1975. He retired from the Officer's Department of the Signal School where he was Supervisory Training Instructor. He was an accomplished artist and poet. He was a member of the Fort Gordon Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Perry O. Fransham; daughter, Dorita Fransham Habermann and son-in-law, Mark Habermann; two granddaughters, Ayla and Mya Habermann; two grandsons, Perry II and Patrick Cozart; brother, Carl Fransham; sisters, Jean Meng and Hilda Brown of Montreal, Canada. Memorial services willbe held Sunday, November 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Blythe Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Richard Dendler officiating.
