ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL SENIOR ADVANTAGE

St. Joseph Hospital offers a program for people 50 and older. Senior Advantage offers bingo, canasta, health and educational programs. $10 membership fee per year; 481-7232.

AARP SENIOR EMPLOYMENT: Jobs and training for workers are available for residents of Richmond, McDuffie, Columbia, Lincoln and Wilkes counties who are older than 55; accepting applications for certified nursing training; 722-4700.

SENIOR WHEELS USA: Power wheelchairs available to senior citizens and the permanently disabled at no cost if they qualify (for those who cannot walk or self-propel in a standard wheelchair); (800) 246-6010.

SENIORS AND LAWMEN TOGETHER: Program assists with administrative duties, Augusta-Richmond County Law Enforcement Center, 401 Walton Way; volunteers choose days and hours of work; training provided; Kathleen Ernce, 826-4480, ext. 300.
