Make Copenhaver mayor

Deke Copenhaver would like to be our next mayor - and I would like to see this happen.

I have known the Copenhaver family now for more than 30 years and they are honorable, honest, trustworthy people of humble beginnings, with deep concern for the future of metro Augusta and Richmond County.

Deke is highly educated, and more than qualified to be our city leader. He has the energy, vitality and experience in the fields of political science and economics that make him the proper candidate to be addressed as "Mr. Mayor."

He is an energetic, jump-up-running, full-speed-ahead, go-getting, eager-to-serve human being who will leave his opponents gasping from breathing his political dust. I believe he could lead a horse to water and also make it drink.

Help us do Augusta a great service and elect Deke Copenhaver our next mayor. He will not be a do-nothing leader with reluctance to lead. He will step forward; take the bull by the horns; initiate prosperous improvement ideas; work diligently by every means available to correct local government inequities that have caused so much dissent; and make all of us proud to be residents of Augusta.
