Wayne Cox has joined Countrywide Home Loans as a home loan consultant. He was previously employed by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. The Evans resident's responsibilities include underwriting and processing home loans, second mortgages and home equity lines of credit.
Karen Hughes has joined Augusta Technical College as an admissions assistant. She was previously employed by Ogeechee Technical College as a student services assistant. Her responsibilities include assisting students with the necessary paperwork to enroll at the college's Waynesboro/Burke campus.
Maria Gregory has been promoted from juvenile correctional counselor 1 to juvenile correctional counselor 2 at the Augusta Youth Development Campus.
Dr. Patricia Lee Cameron, assistant dean for recruitment and admissions in the Medical College of Georgia School of Graduate Studies, has been promoted to associate dean. She joined the MCG faculty in 2000 and is an assistant professor of developmental neurobiology.
Robby Morgan has joined Georgia Bank & Trust Mortgage as a mortgage loan originator. He has three years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Dr. David K. Saunders, former professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan., has been named chairman of Augusta State University's Department of Biology. A professor since 1992, his research interests include physiological ecology, blood viscosity, and hematology in vertebrates.
Leslie Causey has been named foundation development director at Walton Rehabilitation Health System. She will be responsible for leading all fund-development efforts of Walton Foundation for Independence, including major gift planning, corporate giving and special events.
Dr. Amy Epps has joined Carolina Heart & Vascular Center in Aiken. The Columbia native will specialize in general and invasive cardiology and will be responsible for performing nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms and cardiac catheterizations.
Chip Dixon has joined Augusta Technical College as an industrial maintenance instructor at the Waynesboro/Burke campus. He was previously employed by Ogeechee Technical College as a technical instructor and a senior maintenance mechanic for Westinghouse Savannah River Co.

Medical College of Georgia President Daniel W. Rahn has been reappointed chairman of the 27-member Health Strategies Council by Gov. Sonny Perdue. The council is charged with ensuring that adequate health care services and facilities are developed in an orderly and economical manner throughout Georgia.
Pamela Fraizer, vice president of agency operations for Amerigroup Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors of the John de la Howe School Foundation Inc. in McCormick, S.C.
Rusty Myers, a registered representative with Rhodes Financial Services, has earned membership in the Leadership Council for PLANCO, a wholesaler of investment and insurance products for The Hartford, for producing more than $1 million in sales.
Elizabeth Marie Crawford, a licensed practical nurse at the Augusta Youth Development Campus, has been selected as the September 2005 Employee of the Month. She has been an employee since October 2004.
Augusta State University's bookstore was named a recipient of a Best Practice Award from the University System of Georgia. The award, which includes $10,000, recognizes a bookstore's program to reduce the cost of student textbooks. ASU's program has led to a 20 percent increase in sales growth during the past two years.
