BLACKVILLE, S.C. - Anna Albrecht Gillespie, 79, of Blackville, died Saturday, October 8, 2005. Requiem Mass will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Barnwell with Father David F. Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dyches Funeral Home in Barnwell with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Born in Hoboken, NJ, Mrs. Gillespie was the widow of the late James Franklin Gillespie and the daughter of the late Charles Albrecht and Anna Louisa Moran Albrecht. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church of Barnwell and was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include a daughter, Kathalyn G. Baker of Blackville; a son, James V. Gillespie and his wife, MaeJo of Olar; four grandchildren, Bridgitte H. Gunnells and her husband, Perry of Blackville, Thomas N. Baker and his wife, Debbie of Greer, SC, Cynthia G. McCario and her husband, Mike of Blackville and Patrick Daniel Gillespie of Olar; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Gunnells of Aiken, Catherine Gunnells of Blackville, Falcon Baker of Greer and Carlee Creech of Blackville. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Daniel Gillespie. Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Catholic Church, 168 Madison St., Barnwell, SC 29812.
