GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Joe Thuan, age 48, group leader at E-Z-GO, entered into rest on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Medical College of Georgia. He was the husband of Phuong Le. Born in Vietnam, he was the son of the late Nguyen Thi Hai and raised by Ba Thai Graham and James Graham of Hephzibah. Mr. Thuan came to America after fleeing Vietnam in 1974. He moved to Georgia in 1978. Survivors include one son, Anthony Thuan (21); three daughters, Emily Le Thuan (3), Amy Le (11), and Brenda Le (10); one brother, Andrew Do, a professor at San Diego State University; and one sister who resides in Vietnam. Mr. Thuan spent over 23 years at E-Z-GO where he progressed from a machine shop operator to leadership roles in a variety of areas. Most recently he served as a group leader on the Golf car assembly line. He was a key leader in the E-Z-GO family. He was respected and admired by all the employees who worked with him. His hard working, energetic and positive work ethic was recognized over the years through many "above and beyond" and " passion for customer satisfaction" awards. His love and commitment to E-Z-GO and, as he referred to them, his "E-Z-GO people", was seen and felt by all. He was an exceptional human being and leader. Mr. Thuan was an avid outdoorsman with a love of fishing and hunting. Many E-Z-GO employee fish frys were the results of his fishing endeavors. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the 1st United Penecostal Church, 1929 Fenwick St. with Rev. McClain officiating.
