AIKEN, S.C. - Emily Erin Lipford Forstner, 81, of Aiken, died Monday, October 3, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Johns United Methodist Church with the Reverends Bob Clyburn and Dr. George K. Howle officiating. Interment will be private. Mrs. Forstner was born in Franklyn, GA to the late Elbert Augustus and Ruth Hendrick Lipford. She attended West Georgia College. She had lived in Aiken since 1957 and worked in Real Estate. She was a Charter Member of the Augusta Symphony Guild, 40-yr. Member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Augusta; 40-yr. Member of United Methodist Church, and a current member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. Member and twice president of Town and Country Club. A member of the Red Hat Society-Dames of Aiken, Aiken Community Playhouse, M.I.T. Dames, Aiken Real Estate Assoc., Aiken , Aiken County Diabetic Assoc., Aiken Community Concerts, Aiken County Heart Assoc., The Garden Club of Aiken. Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Forstner Gregory, Marietta, GA; a son, James Robert Forstner, South Port, NC; four grandchildren, Katherine Renee Gregory, Erin Christine Gregory, William Robert Forstner, James Dean Forstner. She was predeceased by her husband, James Lee Forstner. Honorary pallbearers will be the Red Hat Society. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Johns United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St., NW, Aiken, SC 29801. Visitation will follow the funeral service.
