HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Inez Louise Barnes, 98, of Spirit Court, entered into rest Saturday, October 1, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hill, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. Mrs. Barnes, a native of Augusta, was a licensed cosmetologist and a pioneering businesswoman who operated her own hair salon. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Mt. Calvary Senior Broadcasting Choir, the Mt. Calvary Mission and the Number Eight Club. She also worked with the Community Volunteer Service in the Green Street Nutrition Center and served as Treasurer for the Community Circle Club. Survivors are two granddaughters, Debra (Robert) McDaniel, Augusta, Paulette (Baron) Pack, Hephzibah; four great-grandchildren, Antran Pack, Betran Pack, Robert McDaniel, II, Marcus McDaniel; three great-great-grandchildren, Antran Pack, Jr., Jayden Pack, Corez Pack; nieces and nephews and cousins.
