NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Arthur P. McKee, 78, husband of Mrs. Lois McKee of W. Woodlawn Ave., North Augusta, SC, entered into rest on Saturday, October, 1, 2005 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hatcher, Chance & Hydrick on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor John Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery with full military honors. In addition to his wife, Mr. McKee is survived by his mother, Aletha McKee of Joplin, MO; his children and their spouses, Jimmy and Jane Alexander of Greenwood, SC, Elaine and Paul Gentry of Ware Shoals, SC, Jane Radford of Atlanta, GA and Tammy and Bill Frank of Watkinsville, GA; brothers, Frances and Betty McKee of New Kensington, PA, Phil and Darlene McKee, Des Moines, IA, Robert and Marion McKee of Marshalltown, IA, Benny McKee of Beijing, China, Revis and Myrna McKee of Fullerton, CA; sisters, Betty Zimmerman of Williamsburg,IA, Carol and Jim McKee of Mountain Home, AR and Clarris Freis of Joplin, MO; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Mr. McKee a native of Sewel, Iowa, had made Augusta his home since the late sixties. He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant having served his country in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He had also been a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a Methodist, an avid golfer, and a jack of all trades. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 325 8th Street, P.O. Box 1725, Augusta, GA 30901.
