AUGUSTA, Ga. - Elizabeth A. Bishop wife of the late Alvin J. Bishop entered into rest Friday September 30, 2005 at Portsbridge Hospice Center. Funeral services will be held today, Monday October 3, 2005 at The Central Baptist Church 3006 Richmond Hill Road at 3 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Bishop will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bishop is survived by daughters, Rose Bishop Joye of Evans, GA, Donna Bishop Harrell, Evans, GA, and Ava Bishop, of Augusta. Also survived by six grandchildren, Dominic Harrell, Casey Joye, Sean Joye, DL Joye, Alicia Toole and Christie Lewis; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Fye of Martinez, Barbara Gibson of Augusta, Delores Havdestad and Charlene Stariaha both of Calif. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin J. Bishop, son, Michael Bishop and sister Doris Thurmond.
