HARLEM, Ga. - Funeral services for Deacon Rich Bennett, age 94, of Old Union Road, Harlem, will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Water Branch Baptist Church, Grovetown, GA. Rev. L.J. Tanksley, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Water Branch Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Survivors are one son, Johnnie Richard Bennett, Harlem; a grandson, reared as a son, Floyd Dunn, Jr., Harlem; two granddaughters reared as daughters, Jacqueline (Douglas) Downs, Harlem and Sandra Dunn, Augusta; one brother, Joe Dunn, Harlem; two sisters, Mae Frances Burnett and Carrie Dunn, both of Harlem; one sister-in-law, Annie Maude Dunn of Harlem; one son-in-law, Floyd Dunn, Sr., Augusta; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 2:30 p.m. The repast will be in the church annex.
