HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Frances May Good Whetzel Barnhart, 92, died Saturday, October, 1, 2005. Born December 27, 1912, she was the daughter of the late John E. Good and Nora Wisman Good Cox. She was a member of Hephzibah Mennonite Church and a retired school teacher. Funeral services will be held at the Hephzibah Mennonite Church, Hephzibah, GA, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at 3:00 P.M. with Gerald Eshleman officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons, Peter Whetzel, Jonathan, Harlan, Andrew, Gary and Benjamin Barnhart. On August 23, 1944, she married John W. Whetzel of Mathias, WVA, who preceded her in death. Two Whetzel step-sons, Lloyd Whetzel and Norman Whetzel; a step-daughter, Wilda Jenkins; two brothers, Carl E. Good and John S. Good; and a sister Mildred Ann Good Barnhart, also preceded her in death. On October 2, 1988, she married John A. Barnhart of Hephzibah, GA, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Garnett W. Whetzel of Mathias, WVA; five grandchildren, Dorcas Schrock of Hillsboro, GA, Peter Whetzel of Woodbridge, VA, Hannah Schrock of Monticello, GA, and Martha and Keturah Whetzel of Mathias, WVA; five step-sons, Jerry Barnhart of Grovetown, GA, Earl and Glen Barnhart of Waynesboro, GA, and Mark and Philip Barnhart of Hephzibah, GA; two sisters, Edith Shank of Hinton, VA and Velma Shank of Standardsville, VA; two brothers, Aubrey Good of New Raymer, CO, and Austin Good of Owings, MD; thirty five step-grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Hephzibah Mennonite Church, Monday, October 3, 2005 from 6:30 until 9:00 P.M.
