PALMS, S.C. - Catherine Calamas Zervos, of Isle of Palms, widow of John N. Zervos, entered into eternal rest Wednesday afternoon, September 28, 2005. The relatives and friends of Catherine Zervos are invited to attend her funeral service Friday morning at ten o'clock in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, Charleston, S.C. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel. Mrs. Zervos was born February 2, 1912, in Augusta, Ga., the daughter of the late Peter N. and Calliope Garalas Calamas. Surviving are two sons, Nicholas J. Zervos and his wife, Angeline, and Peter W. Zervos and his wife, Mary, all of Charleston, S.C.; six grandchildren, John P. Zervos, Kathy Z. Dominey, Michael W. Zervos, Elizabeth Z. Mann, and Ann Z. Guettner; 13 great-grandchildren, John, Catherine and Paul Dominey, Wooten, McNair, and Elizabeth Michael Zervos, Peter and Carolyn Zervos, Mary Catherineand Jasper Mann, and Christopher, Jenna, and Nicholas Guettner. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas J. Zervos, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Mayflower Park, 30 Race Street, Charleston, SC 29401, or to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Avenue, Suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405.
