- To raise money to assist burn victims, the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation has aluminum-can recycling trailers in the following locations: Kimberly-Clark, Belvedere fire station at 204 Hampton Ave., Beech Island fire station, two Aiken County Department of Public Safety fire stations and the Graniteville fire station. - Augusta-North Augusta Regional Material Recovery Facility, 101 Clay Pit Road, North Augusta, 441-4242, takes plastic and aluminum food and beverage containers.

- The Battery Box, 128 Sand Bar Ferry Road in Augusta, 722-5448, takes batteries and lead.

- Motor oil and transmission fluids can be taken to Jiffy Lube locations: 1642 Walton Way, 738-5709; 3346 Wrightsboro Road, 738-6308; 216 Bobby Jones Expressway, 860-9026; 2028 Windsor Spring Road, 790-3935; 4405 Washington Road, 869-9219;2734 Washington Road, 738-4111;2802 Regency Blvd., 737-3728; 2506A Tobacco Road, 796-1818; 1642 Walton Way, 738-5709; 3346 Wrightsboro Road, 738-6308; 216 Bobby Jones Expressway, 860-9026; 2028 Windsor Spring Road, 790-3935; 4405 Washington Road, 869-9219; Washington Road, 738-4111; 2802 Regency Blvd., 737-3728; 2506A Tobacco Road, 796-1818.

- Jefferson Smurfit, 1311 Walker St., 722-9603, takes office paper waste, newspapers, magazines, cardboard and aluminum cans.

- Bricko Farms Inc., 824 Sand Bar Ferry Road, 722-0661, takes yard trimmings, grass and leaves. $10 minimum processing fee per truckload.

- Augusta Steel and Metal, 1468 Gordon Highway, 733-2099; takes nonferrous metals (copper, brass, lead, stainless steel, aluminum and radiators and air conditioner coils).
