AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Willie James Bell, Jr., age 77, of Shiloh Heights Road, Aiken, departed this life on Monday, September 26, 2005 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Willie and Flaura Bell. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 515 Richland Avenue, Aiken, with the Rev. J.B. Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the Jessamine Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bell was a native of Barnwell County, SC and lived in Aiken most of his life. He was educated in the Barnwell County School System and graduate from Denmark Technical College. He was a member of the Union Branch Baptist Church, Hwy. 278, Williston, SC. He was the owner of Aiken Motor Sales, an electrician and a retired employee of Savannah River Site. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Aliphare Handerson Bell, Aiken; one daughter, Darcel(Raymond) Werts, Yardley, PA; three sons, Willie R. (Gloria) Bell, Aiken, P. Jerome (Kimberly Mann) Bell, Germantown, MD and Myron (Linda) Bell, Columbia, SC; three sisters, Josie E. Stallings, Queens Villiage, NY, Sara (Barney) Glover and Ann B. Robinson, both of Augusta, GA; three brothers, Eugene R. (Vermell) Bell, Escoe E. (Lonzenar) Bell, both of Boston, Mass. and Bell (Connnie), Atlanta, GA; (two brothers, Roscoe and Benjamin preceded him in death; six grandchildren, Jennifer N. Bell, Tiffany R. Bell, Jarryd Werts, Jason Werts, Olivia Bell and Maurice Bell. Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning 1:00 p.m. Thursday and at the church Friday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, SC.
