NEW YORK - The Hornets' relocation to Oklahoma City resulted in four scheduling changes, one of which will have them playing in their new home on opening night of the 2005-06 season.
The NBA formally announced the team's temporary relocation Wednesday at a news conference in Oklahoma City. The Hornets will play 35 games there, and six in Louisiana.
The home opener against Sacramento was moved up three days to Nov. 1.
A game against San Antonio originally scheduled for Feb. 22 has been moved to Dec. 18, a matchup with Charlotte was moved from March 4 to Jan. 2, and a game against Utah on Jan. 27 has been moved to Feb. 22.
