FESTIVAL CONTINUES

The annual Arts in the Heart of Augusta continues today from noon to 7 p.m. at the Augusta Common, 800 block between Broad and Reynolds streets. Tickets are $5 at the gate.

'I DO'

From the lockers and lunch tables and now down the aisle, Melanie May and Eric Bowen have come a long way together.

"We have actually known each other since middle school," she said. "From then, we were really good friends all throughout high school."

In senior year, "something just clicked," she said.

It was "just a chemistry and a connection" that have lasted and strengthened during the past nine years.

The couple exchanged vows Saturday at Warren Baptist Church in Augusta.
