Police are searching for missing woman

Authorities are looking for an Atlanta-area woman who has been missing since Monday.

The woman's father said he believes Sue Ann Ray, 26, of Woodstock, was en route to the Augusta area before she went missing.

Danny Jenkins, 50, of Lincolnton, Ga., said he told police he believes his daughter was coming to visit him after she left her job in Cherokee County.

Mr. Jenkins said police found his daughter's 1998 red Ford Windstar on Monday at a Wal-Mart parking lot in Canton, north of Atlanta.

Mr. Jenkins said the woman's daughter, Charity Ray, 6, is with her mother.

Reward offered for suspects in shootings

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of two men accused of shooting and killing a newspaper carrier last weekend.

Two men already have been arrested in connection with the slaying of Debra Dorch, who was delivering copies of the Aiken Standard early Saturday morning when she and another employee were attacked.

But authorities are still looking for Cornell D. Tyler, 22, and Tremaine M. Tyler, 25, brothers who lived on the 300 block of Union Academy Road in Springfield.

Sheriff's investigators say the Tylers and the other two men - Willie L. Ware and Edward N. Walker - mistook Ms. Dorch and Joe Brewer for rival drug dealers intent on robbing them.

Mr. Brewer was shot in the right arm but will recover. Ms. Dorch died from a gunshot wound to the back.

Anyone with information on the location of the Tyler brothers is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at (800) 922-9709.

Richmond County deputy marshals cited a Martinez man Wednesday after they said he accidentally brought a gun into Augusta Regional Airport.

Robert Kimble Miller was cited for the city ordinance against carrying a deadly weapon into an airport, marshal's Sgt. Bryan Patterson said.

He said the incident happened at about 10 a.m., when Mr. Miller was going through a security screening and officials found a .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol, unloaded, along with ammunition, in his bag.

Other federal authorities were notified, and Mr. Miller was questioned, Sgt. Patterson said. The weapon was confiscated, but Mr. Miller received the citation and was released without being jailed.
