Make Tommy Boyles our mayor

With the mayoral election gearing up, we are beginning to see signs of various parties seeking qualification. Too many would-be parties seem to get involved in qualifications, skewing the results. The result of this situation is usually a run-off.

I wish to say a word of commendation for Augusta Commissioner Tommy Boyles. His efforts are with the entire community in mind. Although he lives in my part of town, he works toward understanding what is best for the good of all residents of this part of Georgia. His is always the voice of reason on issues facing our commissioners.

It is my wish that those who wish only a piece of the pie for their own constituents will not run against each other for their own selfish endeavors.
