In his first game as Hephzibah's head coach, Bowen, a former Butler offensive coordinator, presented a potent offensive attack. Using a Wing-T set, Hephzibah successfully ran and passed the ball for three quarters, ending with 218 total yards.

The Rebels completed just four passes in 2004.

They equaled that mark in the first quarter alone. Quarterback Chris White completed 6 of 15 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

But it wasn't the Rebels' offense that gave Hephzibah the lead.

Midway through the third quarter, Hephzibah's Kevin Adams hit Chris Thomas as he was about to pass.

Lorin Lawson picked off the ball and returned it 29 yards for a touchdown and a 24-20 Rebels advantage.

But Walker scored on a 2-yard run with 7:44 left to give the lead back to the Wildcats. Less than a minute later, he picked off a White pass. Three plays later, Walker added another 2-yard touchdown run.

A Jeremy Singleton 15-yard scamper with 1:18 remaining finished off the Rebels.
