AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Wilfred H. Rheaume, 80, beloved husband of Mrs. Sophia Rheaume, entered into rest on Thursday, August, 18, 2005 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Father Peter Telencio officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mr. Rheaume was a native of Massachusetts, but had lived in the Augusta area for 33 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a member of the Military Order of the Cootie, a past Chef de Garde of 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaulk, Voiture Locale 719, a member of the V.F.W Post 649, and a member and past commander of American Legion Post 205. He attended the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven Rheaume; three daughters, Linda Swan, Nancy Ballinger, and Patricia Shepard; a stepson, Malcolm G. Main; a stepdaughter, Suzette Burrows; three brothers, Robert, Nelson and Tommy Rheaume; a sister, Eve York; and 11 grandchildren. If so desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2623 Washington Road, Suite 104, Augusta, GA 30904. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, August 21, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the Trisagion to be held at 3:00.
