An article in Tuesday’s Across the Area section of The Augusta Chronicle incorrectly stated where a man went into the Savannah River to swim. Gary Nicholson, the special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Thomson office, said Scott Johnson’s friends told police Mr. Johnson entered the water Saturday from a boat ramp in Burke County.

l A story in Monday’s editions on the impact on Georgia of a new federal energy bill contained incorrect information about possible nuclear reactor sites. NuStart Energy Development LLC said Savannah River Site is one of a handful of locations it would consider in applying for a license.
