Sosa, Wagner slug Jackets to victory

In Savannah, Ga., Carlos Sosa and Michael Wagner both had two-RBI hits in a five-run first inning, and the Augusta GreenJackets got seven strong innings from Anthony Pannone for a 6-3 victory over the Savannah Sand Gnats on Saturday night.

Pannone allowed just two hits in seven innings for Augusta (26-21), while Kyle Haines had three hits from the leadoff spot.

In the completion of Friday night's suspended game, Augusta hung on for a 9-6 victory. Haines had three more hits in that game, and Nick Conte's fifth-inning grand slam provided the difference for the GreenJackets.
