Outdoors calendar

NOTE: All the listed events are open to the public, although membership in some organizations may be required.

TODAY: Outdoor Destinations with Craig Johnson, a local outdoors program, airs at 1:30 p.m. on UPN channels. Another local outdoors show, Fishing with Ralph Barbee, airs at 2 p.m., also on UPN.

THURSDAY: A Women's Pistol Shooting Group will meet at 7 p.m. at Carolina Star Gun & Hunt Club, Cedar Branch Road, Windsor, S.C., with a special range fee of $10. To join or for more details, call (803) 641-1742.

FRIDAY: A Meteor Shower Walk will be held at 9 p.m. at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park, where visitors can observe the Perseids Meteor Shower. Cost is $3 and includes a two-mile walk. Call 828-2109 for more details.
