Mrs. Elizabeth Mansfield (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Elizabeth West Mansfield, age 88, wife of the late Daniel M. Mansfield, Sr., entered into rest on Saturday, July 30, 2005. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2005 at Westover Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Phillip Bennett officiating. Survivors include two sons, Thomas H. Mansfield and wife, Arleigh, of Augusta, Daniel M. Mansfield, Jr. and wife, Sarah, of Snellville; four grandchildren, Andrew D. Mansfield of Toccoa, Rebecca A. Dunaway and husband, Wes, of Charlotte, N.C., Virginia Elizabeth Kavanagh and husband, Brian P. of Lowell, Ariz., and Alana C. Feverhahn and husband, Chad M., of Augusta; one great-grandchild, Ella Grace Kavanagh. Mrs. Mansfield was born in Wilkes County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta and was a volunteer Pink Lady at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. Mrs. Mansfield was an avid gardener and also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Friends are invited to the residence of the son, Thomas H. Mansfield, after the services are concluded on Monday. Donations may be made to the St. Joseph Hospice at 2260 Wrightsboro Rd., Augusta, GA 30904, or to the First Baptist Church landscape Fund at 3500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30909.
