Mrs. Nan Johnson (STOCKTON, Ga.)



STOCKTON, Ga. - Nan Johnson, 90, of Stockton, passed away Friday, July 22, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lincoln County of February 28, 1914, to the late Robert and Love Blanchard Fleming. She was a past postmaster. She was a member of Stockton Baptist Church and Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, D.W. Johnson, Sr., of over 60 years. Survivors include a son, Donald W. Johnson, Jr., Valdosta; a daughters, Janie Lou Johnson, Boulder, Colo.; two grandchildren, Donaldson W. Johnson, III and Christopher Michael Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Brianna Johnson, D. Walker Johnson, IV, Christopher Michael Johnson, Jr., Bradley Johnson, Alex Johnson, Allison Johnson; two sisters, Madie Honea, Birmingham, Ala., and Clarice Gray, Evans; and a brother, James C. Fleming, Evans. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the Stockton Baptist Church with burial in the Stockton Cemetery.
