GROVETOWN, Ga. - James "Jim" B. Jaworski has gone home to be with Jesus. He died at home Friday, July 29, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. John Lyons Celebrant. Entombment to follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Jim retired from the United States Army in 1972 as an Infantryman and Avionics Specialist where he served tours-of-duty in Vietnam and Korea. He went on to own and operate Electronic Installations for a number of years before reentering government service as a Civil Servant Avionics Instructor. He fully retired in 1993 where he pursued his dreams of enjoying his family and traveling. Jim enjoyed giving to and helping others. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he served in many capacities. Jim leaves cherished memories with his wife Marge of 48 years; two daughters, Cindy and her husband,Pete Ladomirak, Martinez, Jennifer and her husband, John Stearley, Grovetown; six grandchildren, Wesley Ladomirak, Athens, Jacob Ladomirak, Milledgeville, Benjamin Leighty, Gregory Leighty, Emily Stearley, Grovetown, and Michael Stearley, Blackshear. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Hospice, 1226 Augusta West Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909, or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road Augusta, GA 30906. A rosary will be held this evening 6:00 p.m. Sunday July 31, 2005 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Columbia Road with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
