Mr. Harold (Doc) Wallace (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Harold "Doc" Wallace departed this life on July 27, 2005 at the age of 47 and entered into a more restful and peaceful place. He is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Leola Wallace of Hyden, Ky., and a brother, Paul Wallace of Hyden, Ky. "Doc" was born in Hyden, Ky., but for the past 27 years lived in the Augusta area. Seemingly, his most loved place was Hephzibah where he had many friends who he always spoke fondly of. Doc was the youngest of all his siblings, both surviving and deceased. Survivors are five brothers, Charlie (Betty) Wallace, West Carrolton, Ohio, Buford (Betty) Hubbard, Lincolnton, Jim (Maxine) Hubbard, Dayton, Ohio, Mike (Diane) Wallace, Evans, Danny (LuAnna) Wallace, Lewisburg, Ohio; one sister, Norma (Jim) Bledsoe, Martinez; six nephews and nine nieces. He loved all of his family very much as they did him. He lived with his brother, Mike, wife Diane, and their son Steven for many years and got very close to Steven. "Doc was like an older brother to Steven and he picked a name for Steven when he was a baby, which was 'Bub.' When Steven's parents asked him if he wanted to select this photograph of his uncle, without hesitation, he said, 'YES!.'" He has left this life, as many of us who are reading this have lost loved ones. Let us all hold dear the memories of those we have lost and the precious moments of our loved ones who are still with us on this earth. A service will be held on Monday, August 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chuck Gordon officiating. Interment will be in the Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, from 3-5 p.m. and on Monday, August 1, 2005 from 9-11:30 a.m. He will lie in state at the Chapel in Bellevue from 12:00 Noon until time for service. Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, Ga. Florist: 10:30 a.m. Monday.
