Mrs. Julia M. Reeves (THOMSON, Ga.)



THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Julia Montgomery Reeves, 84, widow of Mr. Paul F. Montgomery and Mr. James Reeves, of Dell Dr., but had resided at the Lake Crossing Nursing Home, Appling, for the last four years, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, in the Thomson Second Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Drawdy officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Reeves was a native of McDuffie County. She was retired from the McDuffie County Hospital after 35 years of service in the Business Office. She was a member of the Thomson Second Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Beverly Young, Thomson; her two sons, Larry Montgomery, Thomson, and James A. Montgomery, Appling; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Richard Scott Young, Clayton Lea Montgomery, James Blake Montgomery, Nathanael Allen Montgomery, Den nis Allen and Howard Burnley. Friends may call at the residence of her son, Larry Montgomery, 209 Lee Street, or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
