Mr. Milton E. Ivie, Jr. (SAVANNAH, Ga.)



SAVANNAH, Ga. - Milton Edward "Eddie" Ivie, Jr., 30, died July 1, 2005 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Eddie was a lifelong resident of Savannah, a graduate of Calvary Baptist Day School, Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., Florida International College with a Degree in Hospitality Business Management, and Stella Adler Drama School in New York City. He was the co-owner of the River House Restaurant and owner of the Pirates House Restaurant and Forty-Five South Restaurant. He was a communicant of the the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mary Ivie. Survivors are his mother and stepfather, Cheryl Harris and Victor Power of Savannah; father and stepmother, Milton Edwards and Anita Ivie, Sr. of Martinez; brother, Wesley Ivie of Martinez; sister, Laura Power Lowry of Atlanta; grandparents, Frank and Janie Harris of Savannah; niece, Evelyn Lo wry of Atlanta; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Families of Fallen Soldiers 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment Night Stalkers Association 3-160 SOAR, 1304 N. Light Maintance Road, HAAF, GA 31409. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Drive. A Rosary service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Monsignor William O'Niel officiating.
