THIS IS A BIG RANT to the guy with a Georgia umbrella at the GreenJackets' All-Star Game. You were asked to please put your umbrella down by a father, so his small son could see the field. He was very polite to you, but you had to be a jerk and use foul language to let him know that you had no intentions of putting it down. I think if I were you I would have been a little nicer since there were a lot of people that knew who you were and knew that you were in the insurance business. You really ruined a fun night for many people.
SOUTH AUGUSTA, you asked for it. No more coffee and cigarettes. No more customers and no more tips for those poor little waitresses.
PLEASE, CHRONICLE, send Sylvia Cooper to Hawaii to cover our "conscientious" commissioners who, as (Marion) Williams put it, may be as confused as he is as to why taxpayers don't want them to go. Has he thought about going over to North Augusta to observe what North Augusta is doing? How much money would that cost the taxpayers? We have a right to know what our commissioners are doing in these meetings as well as their extracurricular activities. The taxpayers need to know.
I HAVE A RAVE for pet owners who have collars on their pet but a rant when your pet gets out wandering dangerously and there is no rabies tag with the contact phone number on the collar. I would be glad to help rescue this pet, or maybe someone else could, if there was a contact number on your pet.
