SIT RIGHT: The Safe Sitter program is registering boys and girls age 11-13 for its July 29-30 classes. Learn the basic lifesaving and safety techniques necessary to be a good baby sitter. Classes will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Road in Evans. The cost is $50. Attendance is limited to 14. Call Rene Hopkins at 721-7606.

GOT TALENT?: Riverwalk Special Events is seeking visual artists, photographers, musicians, dancers, singers, poets ages 6-18 for its VIP Youth Arts Fest on July 2 and Aug. 6. Call 821-1754, ext. 2.

BE A LIFESAVER: Community first aid and safety classes are scheduled from 6-10:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Augusta Red Cross office, 1322 Ellis St. Attendance at both sessions is required. Classes also are planned for June 22-23. Cost is $55 for adult, child, infant CPR and first aid, and $45 for adult, child, infant CPR only. Call 724-8481 for information.

GRAB A MOVIE: Batman Begins, the prequel to the comic-book-turned-movie series, comes to the big screen. This time, audiences find actor Christian Bale donning the Batsuit as a young Bruce Wayne who travels to Asia to perfect his fighting skills.
