AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Sallie M. Edwards, of Ramblewood Drive, entered into rest Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Grovetown, with Rev. Jackson Parks and Rev. Frank Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Downs Cemetery. She was a native of Columbia County and worked as a Desk Clerk at the Ramada Plaza. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was President of the Women's Auxiliary of the First Shiloh Baptist Association. Survivors are her husband, Rev. James D. Edwards; five sons, Elijah (Andrea) Nash, Jr., Atlanta, Jeffrey (Joy) Edwards, Iowa, James D. Edwards, Jr., Desi O. Nash, Grady Allen, Jr., Augusta; two daughters, Janet D. (Henry) Edwards, Icey (Joe) Hartfield, Augusta; two brothers, Handy L. (Janice) Green, Fleming Green, Martinez; six sisters, Emma (Sammy) Hope, Claudia (Robert) Colbert, T helma Sullivan, Augusta, Lena McKenzie, Harlem, Vivian White, Grovetown, Jeanette (John) Robinson, North Augusta, S.C.; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
