Mrs. Hattie Smith (SAVANNAH, Ga.)



SAVANNAH, Ga. - Hattie Bell Jones Smith, lovingly known as "Big Mama," formerly of Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, entered into rest Saturday, May 21, 2005 at home, in Savannah. Arrangements will be announced by Dent's Undertaking Establishment, 930 D'Antignac Street, Augusta, GA 30901. Big Mama leaves to mourn: two daughters, Henrietta Moore (John) of Savannah, and Neath Fields of Augusta; one who she loved as a daughter, Ora Lee Norman; three grandchildren, Valeria Jones (Eddie), Andrea Lisa Moore, and Angela Corinthian (Christopher), all of Savannah; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Jones and Eddie Jones, III, of Savannah; one sister-in-law, Essie Mae Jones of Augusta; two nieces, Brenda Scott (Charles) and Thomasina Mackey; one nephew, Frank Butler; seven grand-nephews, Tommy D., Frank, Thomas B., Harry J., James, Willie, and John Rogers; several caregivers, Beatrice Ruffin, Jeanette Simmons, Ora Norman, Frank Butler, Jessica Carter, Carole Gib bons and Courtney Cox; and a host of relatives and friends. Dent's Undertaking Establishment serving the USA since the 1880's.
