DRINK SPECIALS: Daily: $1 gelatin shots, Gulf Coast iced tea in keepsake football-shape glass, $7; mile-high daiquiri in keepsake glass, $7; refills: $5; Tuesday: $10 drink and drown draft beer and well drinks, 8 p.m. to midnight; Wednesday: Ladies night, two-for-one well drinks; Thursday: $3 shots of Jose Cuervo tequila and Jgermeister.

THE CROWD: Age, occupation and gender are irrelevant; only a willingness to sing is common among patrons.

ENTERTAINMENT: Karaoke six days a week from a selection of almost 3,500 songs.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE: Admission is free, but there is a two-drink minimum per person. Patrons perform on a 2-foot-high, 8-by-10-foot stage. The bar periodically has "kamikaze night" for regulars, when someone picks a number and "KJ" Penny Meeks plays that track from a CD chosen at random.
