AUGUSTA, Ga. - Anne Holcomb McDade, of Augusta, passed away on May 20, 2005 in Thousand Oaks, Calif., with her daughters by her side, after a short battle with lung cancer. Born in Charleston, raised in Logan, and graduated from Marshall University, she married Richard McDade, in 1961. With her husband in the Army, they lived in Germany, Virginia, Iran, and settled in Augusta for the last 35 years where she retired from teaching fifth grade. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Sept. 2001), and son, Sean (Aug. 2002). She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Anne Wray and Kimberly McSweeny, and two grandchildren.
