WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest on Sunday, May 22, 2005, Mrs. Essie Lee Widener Boyd, 82, of 67 Willis Road, Warrenville, SC. She was the wife of the late Mr. Willis B. Boyd. She is survived by four daughters, Ann Phillips, Brenda Smith, Judy Taylor, and Gloria Hartley, all of Warrenville, SC and two sons, Ellis Boyd and Joe Boyd, both of Warrenville, SC; six sisters, Lorenia Walker and Eunice Thigpen, both of Aiken, SC, Bernice Younce, Shelby Jean Webb, Marie McKinney, and Erma Keenan, all of New Ellenton, SC, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Boyd was born in Aiken, SC to the late Rhett and Minnie Lee Key Widener. She was a member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class, and the W.M.U. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Hollow Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Morgan and Leroy Beard officiating. Interment: Hollow Creek Cemetery. On Wednesday, Mrs. Boyd will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be Tony Boyd, Shannon Boyd, Eric Hartley, Joey Boyd, Kevin Gardner, and Ken Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Boyd, Tim Boyd, Chuck Gardner, and Jim Gardner. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hollow Creek Baptist Church, 82 Aspen Court, Aiken, SC 29803. Friends may call at the residence of Gloria Hartley, 31 Willis Road, Warrenviille, SC or on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hatcher Funeral Home, US Hwy. No. 1, Langley, SC.
