Motorist ministry
Single women can get free oil changes for their vehicles from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 1810 Knox Ave. in North Augusta. The outreach is sponsored by First Baptist Church of North Augusta.
Help for shelters
Linens, including blankets, pillowcases, sheets and towels, will be collected for Safe Homes of Augusta and area homeless shelters today at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 117 Pleasant Home Road.
Song and a meal
Blythe Baptist Church will hold a gospel sing and fish fry from noon until 2 p.m. today at the church, on County Line Road. Dinners cost $7, and proceeds benefit the building fund.
A joyful noise
Bradley "Jubba" Dyer Jr. and rapper Zion, of Savannah, Ga., will perform at 6 tonight at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3045 Deans Bridge Road.
Baccalaureate
Richmond County graduates will ather at 3 p.m. Sunday for baccalaureate services at Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center, 605 Seventh St., with the Rev. Talmadge Bowden, of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter in Augusta.
Organization meet
Christ N U, a para-church youth fellowship for ages 13 to 26, will hold a get-acquainted session and choir rehearsal at 4 p.m. Sunday at Bible Way Church, 120 Redds Branch Road in Aiken. The Aiken chapter will participate in a mass choir with the statewide group. Call (803) 646-0302.
